- 1 lb ground turkey
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 red bell pepper chopped
- 1 red onion chopped
- 16 oz kidney beans drained and rinsed
- 16 oz black beans drained and rinsed
- 1 package turkey bacon
- 16 oz fire-roasted tomatoes with liquid
- 1.25 cups chicken broth
- 2 Tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 Tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 Tbsp maple syrup
Start by cooking bacon in a large pot and set aside. Cut up bacon into small pieces once cooled.
In the same pot, add garlic, onions, and red pepper. Cook for 3 minutes or until softened.
Now, add ground turkey. Cook for 5-10 minutes or until ground turkey is cooked.
Once ground turkey is cooked, add cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
Now, add in beans, cooked turkey bacon pieces, fire-roasted tomatoes, chicken broth, maple syrup, and tomato paste.
Allow chili mixture to simmer on medium-low heat for 45 minutes.
Once cooked, serve chili and top with sour cream, cheese, and chives if desired. Enjoy!
